We received a few things in the mail this past week from New Zealand. Last Saturday, Elder Johnson sent us a package with some New Zealand necklaces--one for each of us. They each have a special meaning and he told us to choose the one that fit us best! In the package he also included a Maori Flag that we can fly outside where we have been flying the New Zealand flag. We also received some Christmas cards from him and Elder Benetito. Another surprise was a letter from President Lekias. He told us what a wonderful missionary Elder Johnson is and that he was recently called to be a trainer for Elder Benetito. Later in the week, Tanner received a very special letter from his brother. He knew it was on it's way because Elder Johnson told him he had written him the longest letter he has ever written :-) When he got it, Tanner took it straight to his room to read. He returned to let us read it with tears in his eyes. He sure loves and misses his big brother. Elder Johnson is a great example to his siblings. Yesterday we received an email from President Lekias telling us that we can choose to talk with our missionary on the phone on either their Christmas or ours. We are all so excited to talk to Elder Johnson on the phone. We will be planning the day and time through email this week (if Elder Johnson answers our questions ha ha). It's almost email day! Yea!
